Another World is a sumptuous volume written and photographed by Chris Wallace featuring ten pieces animated by a fascination with culture and identity as seen through the lens of travel. It illustrates the stories we tell ourselves about who we are in the world, the stories we tell ourselves about the people and places we encounter out there, and a consideration of where those stories come from.
Lavishly illustrated with lush photography and teeming with evocative essays (all by Christopher Wallace), Another World transports the reader. Included are a dialogue with Nobel prize winner Orhan Pamuk in Istanbul and tales of adventure with the bush pilots of Namibia. Also featured are road trips through Iraq and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula as well as stories set in the Sicilian islands, Tangier, and Hong Kong, a pilgrimage to Jorge Luis Borges's Buenos Aires, and an homage to the Barcelona of Michelangelo Antonioni's film The Passenger.

Chris Wallace is a writer, photographer, and editor who focuses on travel, culture, and identity. His biography of Peter Beard, Twentieth-Century Man: The Wild Life of Peter Beard, was published by Ecco press in July 2023.
