Melba Levick is an internationally renowned photographer based in Los Angeles and Paris, with more than sixty books to her name. Her most recent publications from Rizzoli include The Spanish Style House, The California Missions, The Ranches: Home on the Range in California, The California Casa, and Classic Homes of Los Angeles.

Dr. Rubén G. Mendoza is an archaeologist, photographer, and founding faculty member of the California State University, Monterey Bay. He is the author of several books including The Spanish Style House, The California Missions, and Mission San Miguel Arcángel.
