For decades, Southern Californian Greg Escalante has championed as a publisher, curator, and gallerist underrecognized artistic genres, artists, and cultural movements. His involvement with Juxtapoz Magazine and Copro-Nason Gallery in Bergamot Station brought to the fore the so-called "Lowbrow" and "Pop Surrealism" movements, and his love for Surf culture is legendary. Greg passed away unexpectedly yesterday, and we send our best to his family, friends, and many supporters in the Arts community.
