THE PSEUDONYM LIBRARY OF ALLEN RUPPERSBERG - SIGNED BY THE ARTIST

(RUPPERSBERG, ALLEN). Ruppersberg, Allen as "Al Reed". New York: Christine Burgin Books, I002403312024. 2024. First Edition. 8 1/4 x 6", 8vo. Illustrated Self-Wrappers. Artist's Book. As New.. np (136pp), profusely illustrated in color. Designed by Jason Burch. Published in conjunction with Allen Ruppersberg's 2024 exhibition entitled "25 Ways To Start Over" held at Mark Selwyn Fine Art, "The Pseudonym Library of Allen Ruppersberg" is a graphically striking artist's book that reproduces the covers and interior details of thirty-three lurid vintage paperbacks from the artist's personal collection alongside bio-bibliographic details revealing their both famous and obscure nom de plume authors. Ruppersberg himself has more adopted the pseudonym of Al Reed in his own output over the years, and his passion for blurring autobiographical narrative combined with passionately collecting / archiving the printed and recorded artifacts of Post-war popular culture meet gloriously head-on in this wonderful visual survey. A brand new, most handsome example of this hot-off-the-press title from Christine Burgin Books additionally BOLDLY SIGNED "A. Ruppersberg" in black ink on the title page. Inventory Number: I00240331
