MNASIDIKA: A 1967 PROMOTIONAL POSTER FOR THE LEGENDARY HAIGHT ASHBURY BOUTIQUE
(MNASIDIKA). Caserta, Peggy & L(oren) Rehbock. San Francisco: Mnasidika, 1967. First Edition. Folio. Printed Poster. Promotional Poster. Very Good -.. One 20 x 14" heavy paper sheet printed color lithograph recto only, 1 illustration. Firmly in the vein of San Francisco's psychedelic poster renaissance, this is artist Loren Rehbock's 1967 promotional piece for the hippest Summer of Love boutique, Mnasidika. Run by the infamous Peggy Caserta at the corner of Haight and Ashbury, Mnasidika was the hippie fashion purveyor of choice to Caserta's lover Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, and the city's more affluent visitors with flowers in their hair. A most presentable example of this uncommon ephemeral item showing some wear, soiling, handling creases, and multiple pin and staple holes at the extremities. Inventory Number: 026954
