PABLO NERUDA: ORATORIO MENOR EN LA MUERTE DE SILVESTRE REVUELTAS - WITH ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK PRINTS BY ALBERTO BELTRAN AND MARIANA YAMPOLSKY

(TALLER DE GRAFICA POPULAR). Neruda, Pablo, Alberto Beltran & Mariana Yampolsky. Mexico City: Taller de Grafica Popular (TGP), 1949. Edition Not Stated - Presumed First. 4to. Printed Broadside. Livre D'Artiste. Very Good.. One 13 x 9" tissue sheet printed recto only, 2 black & white illustrations in woodcut. Text in Spanish. "Oratorio menor en la muerte de Silvestre Revueltas" is a 1949 broadside produced by the legendary Mexican Graphic Arts workshop Taller de Grafica Popular (TGP) featuring an homage to the influential late Mexican violinist, composer, and conductor Revueltas by poet Pablo Neruda. Printed on a delicate pale goldenrod tissue paper, it is illustrated with one original woodblock print each by TGP-affiliated artists Mariana Yampolsky and Alberto Beltran. A bright, well-preserved example of this exceedingly uncommon - only three copies are currently cited in OCLC WorldCat - ephemeral publication (entry 284 in Helga Prignitz' "El Taller de Gráfica Popular en México 1937-1977") that has been folded in quarters and subsequently flattened showing some mild creasing and a couple of tiny nicks along the extremities.
