ETRE DIEU: OPERA - POEMA AUDIOVISUEL ET CATHARRE EN SIX PARTIES BY SALVADOR DALI

(DALI, SALVADOR). Dali, Salvador, Manuel Vasquez Montalban & Igor Wakhevitch. Hamburg, GERMANY: Eurostar Schallplatten, GmbH & Sine Qua Non, 1992. First Thus. Square 8vo. Artist Monograph. Fine/No Jacket - As Issued. 326pp, illustrated in b&w and some color + 3 Audio CDs. Text in English, German, French and Spanish. "Etre Dieu" is the strikingly lovely documentation of this work of self-indulgent operatic weirdness written, designed, and staged in Paris in 1974 by the late Surrealist genius/charlatan Salvador Dali. It entails a gilt-embossed 6 ¼ x 6 ¼ x 2 ¼" royal blue velvet clamshell box that houses a softbound book containing an introduction, reproductions of the original manuscripts, the libretto/text, cvs of the participants, as well as a three CD recording of the work's 1974 live presentation. "Etre Dieu"'s participants include the incomparable Delphine Seyrig, Catherine Allegret, Alain Cuny, and Dali himself in the role of "the Divine Dali". A bright, most handsome example of this luxe object perfect for the Dali completeist. Inventory Number: 026495
