Reynolds Morse - who subsequently founded the Salvador DalĂ Museum. A presentable example only of this standard work lacking the publisher's original printed acetate jacket additionally BOLDLY INSCRIBED "Pour Alexander Eliot / Hommage de Dali / 1958" in blue fountain pen across the entire blank leaf facing the half title page showing moderate age-toning, soiling, wear, and abrading to the boards along with foxing to the inside covers, endpapers, and edges of the textblock. Noted late historian, critic, and author Alexander Eliot - for whom this was inscribed - was the "Time" magazine art editor between 1945 and 1960 and a close friend of the artist.
