"Bear Pond" is Bruce Weber's beautiful 1990 celebration of the beauty of youth, the Adirondacks, and the occasional Newfoundland. Dedicated to his then-ailing longtime friend and colleague Donald Sterzin, it was published to benefit the New York City AIDS Resource Center and contains the moving original poem "Gold Day" by Reynolds Price. An otherwise handsome example of the first Bulfinch Press printing lacking its dust jacket that additionally has had six plates - twelve pages total - neatly removed with a razor blade.
