LET'S GET LOST - STARRING CHET BAKER: A FILM JOURNAL BY BRUCE WEBER

(WEBER, BRUCE) (BAKER, CHET). Weber, Bruce. New York: Little Bear Films, 1988. First Edition. Small Folio. Stapled Pictorial Wrappers. Film Monograph. Near Fine.. np (148pp), profusely illustrated in b&w and color. Designed by Sam Shahid, Donald Sterzin and Rise Daniels. Produced in conjunction with Bruce Weber's first feature-length documentary film, this beautifully designed and printed large-format edition was issued in a small, self-published print run to promote "Let's Get Lost" - the renowned fashion photographer's love-letter to the iconic late jazz musician Chet Baker. In addition to Baker, "Let's Get Lost"'s participants include Chris Isaak, Flea, Lisa Marie, Andy Minsker, Cherry Vanilla, Jack Sheldon, Ruth Young, and Bill Claxton. The book's images alternate between scores of the filmmaker's own stills, rare archival photographs, and numerous shots by such renowned lensmen as William Claxton, Frank Stewart, Carol Friedman, and Carol Rieff - many published in book form here for the first time. A most handsome example of this lovely, uncommon item that was originally available for sale only briefly at the time of the film's release at Arcana: Books on the Arts and two agnès b. boutiques - as she provided Baker's wardrobe for the film - showing a small nick to the rear cover and final page along the top edge as well as some minor pulling and short closed tears at one of the binding staples, as is typical with this title. 0-9621658-0-8 Inventory Number: 025269
