"Within a single signed leather-bound book, "Exile" publishes in full the exceptional photographs of French rock photographer Dominique Tarlé taken during his stay with Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg at Villa Nellcôte during the summer of 1971. This beautiful collection of images ranks amongst the finest and most revealing ever taken of The Rolling Stones or of any rock band. Remarkably, as a body of work the photography remained unpublished for over thirty years". In addition to its revealing photographs, this sumptuous Genesis production features a foreword and lengthy interview with Keith Richards along with textual contributions by Tarlé, Anita Pallenberg, Bill Wyman, Mick Taylor, Andy Johns, Marshall Chess, Robert Greenfield, Georgia Bergman, June Shelley, Mick McKenna, Astrid Lundström, Sandy Lieberson, Trevor Churchill, Gretchen Parsons Carpenter, Glyn Johns, Dominic Lamblin, and Rene d'Amico. It is bound in ¼ leather over blue cloth with a pastedown on the front cover with full edge gilt housed the publisher's decorative slipcase. A handsome example of the exceedingly uncommon 2002 Genesis Publications first edition of this exquisite volume limited to one thousand, seven hundred and forty copies NUMBERED (1225/1740) AND SIGNED "Dominique Tarlé'" in blue ink on the limitation page showing just a bit of light wear to the extremities of the slipcase. In addition, it bears the gift inscription "To ... - / You are a / wonderful artist & a / great friend! / Love, / Sheryl" from Sheryl Crow to a notable music industry figure in blue ink on the half title page. 0-904351-81-5 Inventory Number: 025267
