Very Good.. 160pp, profusely illustrated in color and b&w. Designed by John Coplans. With a filmography and bibliography. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. This is the nicely appointed catalogue published in conjunction with the major 1970 Andy Warhol retrospective that traveled from The Whitney Museum of American Art to the Pasadena Art Museum. Featuring texts by curator John Coplans and Calvin Tomkins, it is notable for its focus on the pioneering Pop artist's experimental cinematic work which includes an essay by Jonas Mekas along with a complete filmography. A most handsome example of the paperbound New York Graphic Society Ltd. edition additionally bearing the BOLDLY SIGNED PRESENTATION "to Robin / Andy Warhol" in pencil across the front cover to an artist that acquired this directly from Mr. Warhol while visiting The Factory for tea in 1972 showing a bit of overall light wear. Laid in is a May 13th, 1970 clipping from the Los Angeles Times covering the exhibition's opening at the Pasadena Art Museum. 0-8212-0397-5 Inventory Number: 024540
