This is the first English language edition of French poet and literary scholar Alain Bosquet's highly illuminating and thoroughly entertaining series of interviews with Surrealist icon Salvador Dali first published as "Entretiens Avec Salvador Dali". Subtitled "A Revealing Dialogue with a Modern Master", it contains typographic transcriptions of ten sessions conducted in 1966 in French here translated by Joachim Neugroschel, along with a new translation of Dali's influential 1935 essay "The Conquest of the Irrational". A most handsome example of the 1969 E.P. Dutton & Co. first printing additionally BOLDLY SIGNED "Dali" in black marker on the front pastedown showing an unobtrusive flattened diagonal soft crease to the rear inside flap of the dust jacket.
