This is the catalogue published in conjunction with a posthumous 1996 traveling European Museum retrospective of fifty-nine works executed between 1965 and 1994 by Alighiero Boetti. The exhibition represented the then-most complete survey of the pioneering Italian Conceptual practitioner most associated with the Arte Povera movement. It includes detailed entries for each of the pieces along with essays by Jean-Christophe Ammann, Maria Teresa Roberto, Anne-Marie Sauzeau, Giovan Battista Salerno and Angela Vettese, a selection of the artist's writings, and a detailed biographical chronology. A most handsome example of the French language edition of this uncommon item published for the exhibition's Musee d'Arte Moderne Villeneuve d'Ascq venue. 88-202-1174-2 Inventory Number: 023734
