In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. Published in 1973, Bill Owens' "Suburbia" is an amazing dissection of the Northern California suburban sprawl of the late sixties and early seventies that has become recognized as one of the great American photography books of the last quarter of the 20th Century. A handsome example of the uncommon first Straight Arrow paperback printing (cited on page 24 of Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's "The Photobook: A History Volume II", pages 296-297 of The Hasselblad Center's "The Open Book", and pages 224-225 of "The Book of 101 Books") whose textured black wrappers show some minor wear along with some light soiling to the edges of the textblock. 0-87932-042-7 Inventory Number: 016437
