The show featured ninety-one significant practitioner of the medium - from Kurt Schwitters to Edward Ruscha and Joseph Cornell to Richard Prince - and subsequently traveled to the Centro Cultural Arte Contemporaneo, Mexico City, and the Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain, Nice, France. The image reproduced is Claes Oldenburg's 1961 ink and newspaper collage on paper entitled "Street Figure (Using Movie Section, with Manhole)".
