New./No Jacket - As Issued. 220pp, profusely illustrated in color and b&w. Designed by -ism. "Sagan Lockhart spent years photographing the early years of many of hip-hop’s most popular artists today. Living in Los Angeles, he found himself capturing images of the likes of Playboi Carti and Mac Miller years before they found mainstream success. Eventually, Lockhart was tapped by Odd Future to serve as the collective’s unofficial photographer. “To me, it was always important to build mutual relationships. What I was really looking for is these up-and-coming artists that I could see had some sort of potential. You know, this guy’s going to be the shit.” Well over a decade into his career, the photographer has just released his debut photo book, "I Don’t Play." A brand new, most handsome example of this vital document of Los Angeles' near past featuring Odd Future members Tyler The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Frank Ocean, Travis Taco Bennett, Syd Tha Kid, Hodgy, and more as well as Playboi Carti, Danny Brown, Mac Miller, Lee Spielman, the cast of "Workaholics", skaters Jason Dill and Sean Pablo, and so many others additionally.SIGNED "Sagan Lockhart" in black ink.
