Peering through these partitions, Anthony Hernandez glimpsed moments of everyday life in abstraction, and during 2017 and 2018 began photographing these scenes in a project that would later become "Screened Pictures". More than twenty-five years after his topographical "Public Transit Areas" series, which documented people at bus stops in Southern California, Hernandez turns his lens outwards, to the world beyond the bus stops.
