Published in conjunction with a 1994 retrospective curated by Catherine McDermott at Los Angeles' Pacific Design Center, this beautifully designed and printed catalogue focuses on Vaughan Oliver and V23's extensive work for 4AD Records. Interspersed among the groundbreaking graphic designs for the Pixies, This Mortal Coil, The Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, The Birthday Party, Lush, The Wolfgang Press, Lisa Germano, Michael Brook, The Breeders, Frank Black, David Sylvian & Robert Fripp, Belly, Throwing Muses, and many, many more are the recollections of those who have worked with Vaughan Oliver as collaborators or clients.
