This is the catalogue published in conjunction with the 1961 I.B.M.-sponsored exhibition entitled "Mathematica: A World of Numbers... And Beyond" that was presented concurrently at three separate American Museums. For this ambitious undertaking the Office of Ray and Charles Eames was engaged to design an immersive environment illuminating the history of Mathematics and Science. This striking document incorporating photographs of the Eameses installation features an engaging mixture of Mid Century Modern and "old-timey" design by George Tscherny. An internally most handsome example of this uncommon - only six copies are currently cited in OCLC WorldCat - document showing some minor soiling and age-toning to the covers. Inventory Number: 027009
