THE VIRGIN SPERM DANCER (SUCK SPECIAL ISSUE)

(GORDON, GINGER, AKA BEEKE, ANNA). Levy, William, Ginger Gordon (aka Anna Beeke) & Anthon Beeke. Den Haag, THE NETHERLANDS: Uitgeverij Bert Bakker, 1972. Second Edition. Small Folio. Illustrated Wrappers. Photography Monograph. Near Fine.. 72pp, profusely illustrated in b&w. Text in English. Designed by Anthon Beeke. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. Subtitled "An ecstatic journey of a boy (Joop) transformed into a girl (Joopie) for one day only, of her erotic adventures in Amsterdam, magic centrum", "The Virgin Sperm Dancer" is one of the lesser-known yet still classic books of erotic imagery from the sixties and seventies. Originally published by Willem de Ridder's notorious "Suck" magazine, it features a text by American expatriate William Levy - known as the "Talmudic Wizard of Amsterdam", design by the innovative Anthon Beeke, and black and white photographs by his wife Anna Beeke - credited as "Ginger Gordon". All told, this is an eye-opening 1972 tour of gender-bending counterculture sex in and adjacent to Amsterdam's public Vondelpark. A most handsome example of the 1972 second edition (cited on page 213 of Alessandro Bertolotti's "Books of Nudes") with the publisher's shrinkwrap and green "For Adults Only / Nur Fur Erwachsene / Seulment Pour Adults" sticker showing some slight dents to the foredge tips of the textblock. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the explicit nature of some of the content here, you must be at least eighteen years of age to order this item. 90-6019-20316 Inventory Number: 026655
