Near Fine/Near Fine. 212pp, 106 illustrations in b&w. Text in English. Designed by Walter Pichler. "Architectura Caelestis" - subtitled "Images of the Hidden Prime of Styles" is Viennese School of Fantastic Realism member Ernst Fuchs' treatise on the significance and influence of arcane mathematics in Architectural form over the centuries. A striking production, it is illustrated by the author in black and white and bears a similarity to the self-published works of Stanislav Szukalski. A bright, most handsome example of the exceedingly uncommon 1970 Residenz Verlag deluxe slipcased edition limited to two hundred NUMBERED (5/200) copies containing two beautiful etchings NUMBERED (5/200) AND BOLDLY SIGNED "Ernst Fuchs" in pencil bound in housed in the publisher's royal blue cloth-over-boards slipcase decorated with a gilt-stamped reproduction of a drawing. The book and jacket are lovely while the cloth-over-boards slipcase shows a bit of wear along with some fraying at the joints. Inventory Number: 026585
