TOM SACHS: BRICOLAGE MAGAZINE #2: "STREET WOOD" - DECEMBER 2010

(SACHS, TOM). Sachs, Tom. New York: Self-Published as Allied Cultural Prosthetics, 2009. First Balck and White Edition 1/250. 8vo. Stapled Illustrated Wrappers. Artist's Periodical. Fine.. np (26pp), profusely illustrated in b&w. Designed by Tom Sachs. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. "Bricolage Magazine" is Tom Sachs's highly entertaining, self-published artist's periodical-cum-'zine that addresses all things of interest to Tom Sachs "and his community". This second installment from 2010 features cover boy Sam Smith from the 1999 "Masterpiece Theater" production of Oliver Twist, and weaves together in the artist's charming lo-fi cut and paste way Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, a Shaker furniture typology, "100 Killer Dub Plates as Played by Jah Shaka", annoying USB plugs, Knot-tying, Tom's February 2010 Con Edison bill, and so much more. A brand new, most handsome example of the uncommon - only two copies are currently cited in OCLC WorldCat - first black and white printing limited to two hundred and fifty unnumbered copies. 0-9790499-6-2 Inventory Number: 026492
