DENNIS HOPPER: OUT OF THE SIXTIES - DELUXE LIMITED SLIPCASED EDITION SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER

(HOPPER, DENNIS). Hopper, Dennis, Michael McClure & Walter Hopps. Pasadena, CA: Twelvetrees Press, 1986. First Edition #39/100 Deluxe. 4to. Cloth in Jacket, Slipcased. Photography Monograph. Fine/Fine. np, profusely illustrated in gravure. Designed by Jack Woody. With a filmography and exhibition history. Dennis Hopper was the young man with a camera in the right place at the right time in the new Hollywood. Issued in 1986 in gravure with the typically austere and lovely Twelvetrees Press aesthetic, "Out of the Sixties" was the first published collection of Hopper's photographs. Divided into "Artists and Collectors", "Hollywood", "Music", "Civil Rights March, Selma to Montgomery", "Mexico", and "The Scene", it is a tour de force view of the clash of the old and the new in sixties culture! A most handsome example of the exceedingly uncommon deluxe limited slipcased edition of the 1986 first printing limited to one hundred copies BOLDLY SIGNED "Dennis Hopper" in black ink below his introductory text and NUMBERED (39/100) in ink on the rear colophon, as issued, showing some mild sunning along the extremities of its slipcase. 0-942642-25-2 Inventory Number: 026375
