This is an informative postcard published in conjunction with a 1993 public art project involving Los Angeles-based conceptual practitioner John Knight's artist's multiple in the form of a handlebar-mountable, ratcheted bicycle bell. Commissioned by Den Haag's Stroom Contemporary Art space, an edition of three thousand of Knight's "Kikkerbell"s was produced - each emitting a croaking sound meant to warn the frogs that amass along the banks of the local canals of oncoming, potentially deadly art-loving cyclists. This postcard discusses this project along with the artist's plan to produce a similar action in Cuba. A most handsome, unmailed example of this exceedingly uncommon ephemeral item.
