This is the striking postcard announcement published in conjunction with Keith Haring's October 1982 Tony Shafrazi Gallery exhibition - the artist's first one man show at what was to become his primary dealer. With this exhibition boosted Haring's stature from that of an East Village Scene street artist to a rising art-star with international visibility. The face features Tseng Kwong Chi's black and white image of Haring alongside fellow graffiti artist and sometimes collaborator "LA2" - aka Angel Ortiz - photographed against a painted backdrop.
