"Marine Portfolio II" is the late Los Angeles based underwater photographer and art collector Edwin Janss' spectacular second - of three total - collection of original color photographic prints of fish, corals, and mostly nudibranchs taken during Mr. Janss' many dives in the Pacific Ocean. It features a brief foreword by the then-director of Los Angeles' Natural History Museum Giles W. Mead accompanied by seventeen vivid 7 ½ x 9 ½" color images each mounted on a 13 x 15" archival cardstock sheet additionally NUMBERED AND SIGNED "Edwin Janss" in pencil on the recto. A brand new, internally most handsome example of this exceedingly uncommon, luxe item showing just a bit of wear and trivial spotting to the publisher's dark brown slipcase.
