DANIELA ROSSELL: RICAS Y FAMOSAS - THE TRUE FIRST EDITION

(ROSSELL, DANIELA). Rossell, Daniela & Barry Schwabsky. Madrid, SPAIN: Turner Publicaciones S.L., 2002. First Edition. 4to. Pictorial Self-Wrappers. Photography Monograph. Fine.. np, profusely illustrated in color. Text in Spanish and English. This controversial photo-essay gives unprecedented access to the homes, and vacuous offspring of Mexico City's wealthiest families - think of this as the updated, south of the border version of Slim Aarons' "A Wonderful Time". The garish, Baroque interiors pictured here are truly from another world, revealing opulence truly at odds with the dutiful servants also caught before Daniela Rossell's lens. A brand new, most handsome example of the 2002 Turner Publications variant of the true first edition of this gem (cited on page 321 of Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's "The Photobook: A History Volume II" and page 216 of Horacio Fernandez' "The Latin American Photobook") still in the publisher's shrinkwrap. 84-7506-519-8 Inventory Number: 022456
