This is the French translation (from the Russian) of Jacques Tugendhold's early monograph on the work of renowned Soviet avant-garde painter and theatrical designer Alexandra Exter. A presentable copy only of this uncommon item whose covers and top edge of the textblock show some rippling and light brown discoloration due to contact with moisture - but no sticking or tearing. The first twenty-six pages of text on newsprint are affected while the remaining leaves (containing the gravure plates) on heavier paper stock are still bright. It has been priced accordingly.
