One sheet of 11 x 8 1/2" paper stock printed offset recto only, 1 logo illustration. This is a single sheet of the hip letterhead used by Bill Graham's New York's Fillmore East Corporation. Opened on March 8th, 1968 as the East Coast counterpart to his successful Fillmore in San Francisco, the Fillmore East became known as "The Church of Rock and Roll." With two-show, triple-bill concerts several nights a week. Graham would regularly alternate acts between his East and West Coast venues. Until early 1971, bands were booked to play two shows per night, at 8:00 and 11:00 PM, on both Friday and Saturday nights. However, impacted by the rise of stadium and arena Rock tours in the early 70s, Graham closed the Fillmore East after only three years. The final concert took place on June 27, 1971. A brand new, pristine example of this colorful bit of New York rock 'n' roll history featuring the Fillmore's light show-inflected logo in shades of green, yellow, and brown on cream colored stock.
