An internally most handsome example of The Jewish Publication Society of America first edition (entry number forty-two in Patrick Cramer's "Marc Chagall: The Illustrated Books - Catalogue Raisonné") additionally BOLDLY SIGNED "Marc Chagall" in pencil beneath the renowned late artist's black and white frontispiece illustration showing a bit of light wear, creasing, and minor chipping along the bottom edge of the dust jacket.
