This is the promotional program for renowned Dada/Surrealist artist/director Hans Richter's 1947 film "Dreams That Money Can Buy". This unique project consisted of Richter soliciting dream scenarios from Alexander Calder, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Fernand Leger, and Man Ray, then weaving these into a cinematic narrative with the musical collaboration of Louis Applebaum, Paul Bowles, David Diamond, John Cage, John Latouche, Libby Holman, Josh White, and Darius Milhaud! Ernst and Julien Levy appeared in the film as actors. Other contributors to this item include Richter, John Cage, Man Ray, Charles Hulbeck - aka Richard Huelsenbeck, Siegfried Kracauer, Andre Breton, Louis Applebaum, Dorothea Tanning, and James Johnson Sweeney. A handsome example (cited on page 101 of "From Fair to Fine: 20th Century Photography Books That Matter") of the black ink on green cover stock variant of this uncommon item showing a couple of soft creases along the spine.
