Published in an edition of two thousand copies, this is the forty-fourth installment of everyone's favorite long-running luxe fashion quarterly, For this fun issue Visionaire has partnered with vanguard toy manufacturer Kidrobot to create an original Visionaire soft vinyl figure, then further collaborated with ten world renowned fashion designers to customize that figure into ten different characters. The issue is released in two different sets (one red, one black) limited to two thousand copies each containing five toys, with an accompanying booklet picturing all ten designs. The characters and booklets are packaged inside a molded plastic and cardboard case. The black set features the designs by Hermes, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Versace, while the red includes Dolce & Gabbana, Hedi Slimane, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, Miuccia Prada, and Viktor & Rolf. Kidrobot is the world's premier creator of limited edition art toys designed by world-renowned artists with backgrounds in graffiti and fine art, illustration, graphic and industrial design, and music. A handsome individually numbered example of each of the Black and the Red toys whose interior plastic case and figurines are pristine, while the publisher's protective cardboard boxes shows some overall light wear and scuffing.
