The over one hundred photographs of the weekend's performers include Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company, Ravi Shankar, The Grateful Dead, The Jefferson Airplane, The Who, The Mamas and Papas, Country Joe and the Fish, Otis Redding with Booker T. and the MGs, Simon and Garfunkel, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Laura Nyro, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Electric Flag, The Steve Miller Blues Band, Canned Heat, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Eric Burdon and the Animals, and more. Also of note are the interspersed remembrances of the organizers and participants including Owsley Stanley, Tom Wilkes, Derek Taylor, John and Michelle Phillips, D.A.
