(MARKUS, KURT). Markus, Kurt. DREAMING GEORGIA - SIGNED BY KURT MARKUS. Signed by the Photographer. Tokyo: Rockin' On Inc., 1994. First Edition 1/3000. 12mo. Wrappers in Dust Jacket. Photography Monograph. As New/As New. np, profusely illustrated in b&w. Text in English and Japanese. Designed by Masashi Nakayama. Published only in Japan, this tiny gem was the result of a collaboration between noted photographer Kurt Markus and model Cynthia Antonio for a German "Elle" magazine fashion shoot meant to invoke the spirit of Alfred Stieglitz' photographs of the young Georgia O'Keeffe. Shot in and around Santa Fe, the model is at ease in her own skin as she is in clothes by Matsuda, Comme Des Garcons, Jil Sander, Prada, and Jean-Paul Gaultier, amongst others. The nudes, landscapes and fashion editorial here are dark and sensual, showing a very different side of the photographer from his well-known Cowboy pictorials. A pristine copy of this uncommon item BOLDLY SIGNED by Kurt Markus in black ink on the front free endpaper. Inventory Number: 009304
